About Us
FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)
My husband and I have a small hobby farm on 10 acres, located in Northern Washington State, specializing in rare poultry preservation and breed development.
I own & operate Rare Feathers Farm™.

Our primary mission is the preservation of rare poultry breeds. It is very difficult to find the time and resources to do this, let alone excellent quality stock to use as breeders. Some breeds are rare because they are not very hardy or because they are poor layers. Please keep this in mind when ordering rare breed eggs. You may have to wait a week or two--or sometimes eight months until they lay again.
If the weather holds--shipping could start next month!
If the eggs you are interested in are not available at this time, please e-mail me at heather@rarefeathers.com to be put on a waiting list and please be sure to include the breed(s) you are interested in within the subject line so my e-mail doesn't mark it as spam.
Orders will be filled first come, first (with full payment received) served. Paying in full ahead of time ensures your eggs will be shipped ahead of those who have not paid. It also ensures you will pay what I'm charging for eggs at the moment. I can safely say my prices have never gone down, only up. :) So paying early locks in the lower price and ensures your eggs are paid for and will be shipped out ahead of those who have not paid. Those who have paid have first right of refusal when eggs do become available. Those
on my waiting list will be contacted after those who have paid and before my website is updated. In addition, I do send out occasional newsletters to the e-mail addresses on file.
Your e-mail address is safe and not sold or given out to anyone!
